Traminette
These are our oldest vines on the property at 3yrs old. There are 6 vines and a rooted 7th. We relocated them this month to the vineyard and they look like they are doing well. It is, however, hard for me to tell because they are still dormant.
These grapes are used in winemaking and are a winter hardy Gewurztraminer hybrid. Here in VA they are usually used to add sweetness to a mixed/table wine. I've only had a couple true Trminette wines and have throughly enjoyed them.
They will be trained Vertical Shoot Positioned because of their upright growing habits and have a double trunk. We will set posts in the near future to support them and hope they are pleased with their new home!
More pictures will be posted as we set posts and the vines start growing.

Seedless Concord Grapes
Our new babies. Eight 1yr old vines were planted this past week but there are more to come!!
These are fast growning hardy vines. We are excited to see how fast they grow compared to our Traminettes. They will be trained Top Wire Cordon (TWC) being that they are a downward cultivating grape.
We decided on Seedless Concord mainly because they can be eaten straight from the vine....mmmmmm. But, their versatility is very appealing. They can also be collected and made into jelly, juice and wine.
